Branded headshot backgrounds for your whole firm
Branded headshot backgrounds put each person's real photo on your firm's own plates, so the team matches whether people work in an office or at home. AI headshots are made on a chosen background, and a photographer at Birdie Portraits checks every image.
Branded headshot backgrounds from your own plates
A plate is the background image a person is placed on. Your firm has its own set, and staff choose from it when they upload. A person joining next year chooses from the same set as this year's first round.
How a real photo goes on a plate
Every real photo takes the same four steps.
- Cut out. A background-removal model on Replicate removes the original background. The uploaded photo is deleted from Replicate as soon as the job finishes.
- Placed. Birdie Me's own server places the person on your plate. Blur, warmth and focus point are set per plate, and the person's colour is left as photographed.
- Edged. The edge of the cut-out is pulled in slightly, so no grey rim shows on dark plates. Fine strands of hair behind the ears can be trimmed.
- Checked. A photographer at Birdie Portraits approves, redoes or rejects every result.
AI headshots and real photos on one page
AI headshots are made on a chosen background. Both routes go through the same check and arrive in the same four sizes, so a team page can carry both.
Moving an existing set onto new plates
Photos from an earlier shoot can be moved onto your plates in batches, without a reshoot. Birdie Portraits checks every result and adjusts the crops where needed.
Choosing a background colour
UK photographers' guides tend to suggest grey, white, navy or an office scene. Check a plate in the 200 x 200 head crop as well as the web image, because a colour that works large can look different small.
Questions
Can you change a headshot background after the photo is taken?
Yes. Birdie Me cuts the person out of an existing photo and places them on one of your firm's plates.
Can we use more than one background?
Yes. Your firm can hold several plates, and each person chooses from that set when they upload.
Do AI headshots use the same backgrounds as real photos?
AI headshots are made on a chosen background, such as a light studio background. Real photos are placed on your firm's plates.
What happens to the original photo?
It is stored in London, in the AWS eu-west-2 region, and deleted from the image processor as soon as the job finishes. Files are kept only as long as they are needed to make and deliver the headshots, and anyone can ask for theirs to be deleted.
